The Book of Enoch Reveals Beings God Made Before Creating Humans — And Why He Erased Them

Before Genesis chapter one ends, something is already missing from the story.

In this video, we look at ten beings that various religious and mythological traditions say existed before humanity — and why, in each account, they didn't last. From the angels who rebelled before Adam was formed, described in apocryphal texts like the Book of Enoch, to the Nephilim, offspring of divine beings and humans, wiped out according to Genesis 6 in the flood that followed.

Every entry comes from actual scripture, apocrypha, or long-standing theological tradition — Jewish, Christian, and Islamic sources included. None of this is peer-reviewed history; it's belief, preserved in text for thousands of years, that never fully made it into the mainstream canon.

The stories don't agree on why these beings were erased. What they agree on is that something came first, and it didn't stay.
