Book of Secret Things and Doctrine of Spirits (The Magus, 1801)

Adapted from the very last section of Francis Barrett's The Magus (1801): THE MAGIC AND PHILOSOPHY OF TRITHEMIUS OF SPANHEIM. This sub-section of The Magus contains two letters exhorting a young student of the occult sciences to direct their magic towards the good and not towards vain, worldly pursuits. The third section is more precisely the 'magic of Trithemius' translated from Latin by Barrett, namely, 'Of the making of the Crystal and the Form of Preparation for a Vision.'
