I turned my personalised daily.dev feed into an overnight R&D loop. Each run finds the latest tech stories, judges what is relevant to the work I actually do, asks Codex to build the strongest ideas, then tests the results before I wake up. In this video I show the real scheduled task, previous reports—including honest failures—how daily.dev supplies the personalised feed, how to store the API token safely, and how to create and adapt the same automation in minutes. The point is not to ship every story; it is to wake up knowing what is genuinely worth exploring without doomscrolling for hours.

Rank recent stories against my role, goals and current projects; select only current, relevant capabilities that can be tested locally; verify each one against a first-party source; build each experiment in its own folder with a fixed time limit; define and run objective tests; preserve failures; and create a morning report showing what was tried, what worked, what failed and what is worth exploring further. Never print, paste or expose the API token. Before creating the schedule, ask me for the project folder, run time, role/goals, maximum number of experiments and per-build time limit.
