Kaelen is a courier. Twelve years riding the vine-choked streets of post-Bloom Manhattan on a modified dirt bike — threading the teal-glowing canopy of THE CHOIR, delivering the cargo that keeps the last colonies alive. He knows every tendril pattern, every collapse point, every trick the vines use to stop moving things.

Today's cargo is different.

Strapped to his chest: the Genome Vault — a cryogenic cylinder carrying a biological payload engineered to break the Choir's synchronized network and reverse the Bloom across fifty miles. His destination: the Spire, the last transmission tower standing above the canopy. His contact: Echo, a radio operator who has talked three couriers toward this moment.
